When entered into our program, we will ensure that the teen:
1) Receives appropriate pre-natal care, individualized counseling.
2) Gains an understanding of the responsibilities associated with motherhood.
3) Develops effective parenting and household management skills.
4) Learns to effectively balance parenthood, school and work, which will prepare residents for independent living with their babies (as applicable on an individual basis).
5) Learns the process of becoming a nurturing parent.
6) Learns how to develop healthy relationships with their immediate family, father of the child and their peers.
7) Increases their understanding of pregnancy and its effects on their body.
8) Learns the independent living skills needed to provide support for themselves and their child in the future.
Our Home is arranged so that the residents are in a comfortable home environment. Each young lady has her own room that she shares with her child. We provide day care and the little ones have access to the playroom for individualized play and story time.
